Custom PC Systems provides professional PC assembly services using components supplied by the customer ("Client"). We do not sell hardware components. Our services include component assembly, cable management, thermal paste application, BIOS configuration, stress testing, and optional add-on services as described on our Services page. All service tiers and pricing are listed at custompcsystems.com/services and are subject to change without notice. Quoted prices are honored for 30 days from the date of the quote.
The Client is responsible for shipping all components to Custom PC Systems. We recommend insuring all shipments for the full replacement value of the components. Custom PC Systems is not liable for damage or loss that occurs during inbound shipping. Upon receipt, we inspect and photograph all components. Any pre-existing damage will be documented and communicated to the Client before assembly begins. The Client is responsible for the cost of return shipping. We ship completed builds via FedEx or UPS with full insurance coverage, billed at the carrier's actual rate.
Custom PC Systems performs a compatibility review on every build before assembly. If we identify incompatible components, we will notify the Client and pause the build until the issue is resolved. We are not responsible for incompatibilities that were not detectable through standard review, or for components that fail to perform as advertised by their manufacturer. If a component is found to be defective on arrival, we will notify the Client and the build will not proceed until a replacement is provided. We do not source replacement components on behalf of the Client.
Custom PC Systems warrants our assembly workmanship against defects for the period specified by the service tier selected: 30 days for Essential and Pro builds, 90 days for Elite builds. This warranty covers defects in our labor — including loose connections, improperly seated components, thermal paste application errors, and cable management failures. This warranty does not cover: (a) component failures covered by the manufacturer's warranty; (b) physical damage to the build after delivery; (c) damage caused by user modifications, overclocking (unless performed by us), or improper use; (d) software issues unrelated to our installation work. To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period with a description of the issue. We will diagnose the problem and, if it falls within warranty coverage, repair it at no charge.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Custom PC Systems' total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to third-party property. We are not liable for component failures that occur after delivery, as these are subject to each component manufacturer's warranty.
Payment is due in full before the completed build is shipped or made available for pick-up. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as listed at checkout. Quotes are valid for 30 days. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for add-on services discovered during assembly (e.g., additional cable management complexity) only with prior Client approval. We will not perform additional billable work without explicit Client authorization.
Clients may cancel a build request at any time before assembly begins for a full refund of any deposit paid. If assembly has begun, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion based on work completed. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of our assembly work, contact us within 7 days of receiving your build. We will work with you to make it right — whether through a partial refund, rework of specific elements, or another mutually agreed resolution. Refunds are not issued for component failures, shipping damage, or issues outside the scope of our assembly work.
We collect only the information necessary to process your build request and communicate with you — including your name, email address, shipping address, and parts list. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to fulfill your order (e.g., shipping carriers). Build photos taken for documentation purposes may be used in our portfolio with identifying information removed, unless you request otherwise in writing.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted at custompcsystems.com/terms with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For active build orders, the terms in effect at the time of order confirmation apply.
If you have questions about these Terms of Service, please reach out via the contact form at custompcsystems.com/submit-build or email us directly. We're happy to clarify anything before you submit a build request.
